Importance of Personal Worship

Personal Worship is our highest priority.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

Personal Worship is the responsibility of every person in the Kingdom.

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea,

and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
    be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

Rev 5:13

Personal Worship can lead to vibrant corporate praise. Personal Worship can prepare us for Small Group Worship and Ministry Worship.

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
    praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

Psalm 150

Personal Worship moments are life changing.

Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. Psalm 30:2

Hear my cry, O God;
Give heed to my prayer.
From the end of the earth
I call to Thee, when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For Thou hast been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
Let me dwell in Thy tent forever;
Let me take refuge in the shelter of Thy wings
Psalm 61:1-4

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
    or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Psalm 51:10-12

King David was first, a passionate psalmist (prophesy, sing, play an instrument).

Lord, listen to me and answer me.
    I am poor and helpless.
Protect me, because I worship you.
    My God, save me, your servant who trusts in you.

Psalm 86:1-2
